Yes, I saw this on teletext. Total hysteria, and very silly. If perfume could really do that, it would be illegal! But no doubt this incident will feed the daft US trend for banning perfumes from workplaces, and removing all ingredients that might possibly cause a reaction.
All of which is, to my mind, utter bollocks... ;-) It would even be funny, if it wasn't causing many great scents to be reformulated to death, and forcing natural perfumers out of business....
yes bonkers! I agree though it will probably add to the reformulation madness, I wish the would just stop meddling with things that have been this way for decades if not centuries. They haven't removed all nuts from food even though some people are allergic to them have they.
Exactly! And nuts can kill some people. Oakmoss can't.
I notice that many places reproducing that story have left out the part about the authorities putting it down to hysteria. Typical lazy reporting, a thing which annoys me a lot lately. For instance, you'll see a story around now that Mel Gibson attacked some paparazzi guy the other day. The truth is that the pap made it all up, which has been accepted by the cops, who are not looking to arrest Gibson. But that was from one site. Everywhere else I've seen the story, online and in papers, they leave that out and state outright that he attacked the man. I'm no Gibson fan, but wtf?
I hate bad reporting too and also get very upset about bad English in newspapers! I turn into a complete old woman about it.
No I'm no Gibson fan either but they just do this kind of thing to generate stories don't they. It's like the Brad/ Angelina/ Jen stuff, it really seems they just print what they want without any desire for any kind of factual basis.
Sometimes choosing a cheap designer perfume can be quite confusing as one person’s favorite can be another person’s headache or it will suffer some serious madness.
