What to eat now

I have become a little bit obsessed with What to eat now on BBC 2. Of course now that I have formed the obsession the programme seems to be finished- which always happens to me.

Still I can nurse my slight crush on Valentine Warner via i-player and some book ordering I'm sure. Cookery programmes and murder mysteries are my absolutely guiltiest and loveliest TV pleasures. I could have literally jumped into the screen to try Valentines lavender meringues.

  1. Gosh - lots of lovely blog posts from you for my reading pleasure! Cooking programmes - yes, I do like them, but they make me so hungry! And I then watch something fabulous being made out of something gorgeous, run to the kitchen and only find an old lump of cheese. Adore murder mysteries though - am currently in rapturous love with Foyle's War.

  2. Hey Jayne- yes! glad they are pleasurable! I know they make me very hungry for things I don't have the ingredients for/ am not capable of making! I always watch and decide that this Sunday I will be making something very complex that takes five hours from scratch. Come Sunday I normally sit there with a piece of cheese.

  4. Daily- I think you'll love it. I don't know the Barefoot Contessa but I'm a big Nigella fan, as you know! love her food and love the fact she isn't ashamed to enjoy it.
