Pyrrha jewellery

Of course I don't need jewellery- but I always want it and my latest discovery is Pyrrha jewellery; jewelley made with seals that would have been laid into wax to seal letters many years ago- when people still sent handwritten letters, by courier, a courier on a horse. I love the idea of using the seals, the connection with words and the phrases they have chosen. You know you want something when you can't stop thinking about it don't you?

Leaf necklace: seal reads "I change only in death" (in French)

R necklace: R for Rose of course

  1. They are lovely... I love jewelry too and never buy it for myself. I always welcome it in the form of presents though :)

  2. Hi Rose,

I have been following your blog for a while now and I really like it! Also: I love your jewellery posts! You have such good taste - and now (of course) I too am obsessing about those seal necklaces....

I know it's a lot of work to keep a blog running and it always amazes me, how you and other bloggers succeed in creating such wonderful "spaces", while actually having a day job.
So thank your for letting us glimpse into your world - and for connecting all those different people from around the world.

  3. Hi Daily- well I obviously love jewellery but I do sometimes buy it for myself, just as a little pick up or if I really, really want something- and it's vaguely affordable.

Hello Hana- thank you for following the blog and saying hello- I'm really glad you enjoy it- it sounds like you are a fellow jewellery lover.

I really enjoy writing the blog so it's actually quite relaxing- it's brilliant to hear other people enjoy my ramblings though. Hopefully hear from you soon.

  5. Those are gorgeous, and most unusual. I do love wax seals.
I'm going to go look them up.... hmm. Ok, looks like the prices are reasonable, except of course one would get dinged for customs on the way. I wonder if anyone sells them here?

  6. Hi Trish, I'm glad you approve!

Hi Tania, Yes I loved the waxed seals idea. They are much lovelier in the flesh/ metal actually; I wouldn't say the pictures do them justice. They are sold in... Liberty of course... like everything I covet (I don't work for them I promise!). I saw them there and did some investigating. The tax does make them a bit more I think.
