Heaven in King's Cross

I love this idea for temporarily using your hardback books as shelves- as seen at Drink, Shop & Do in King's Cross.

The whole shop/ cafe/ project is a vintage lovers dream palace. You can buy everything in the shop from the chairs you sit on to the teacups the candles are lit in. You can take classes in making pearl necklaces or go to the dot to dot disco or just relax with a cup of tea/ cocktail and play a board game. HEAVEN.

  2. I'm wondering if I could use books as shelves and that way sneak more into the house without the other half noticing...Hmm. This place does sound like heaven. I'm in London on Monday so may pop in and check it out. :)

  6. I've been waiting to go with a friend but think I might take a sneaky peek solo on my way from the library to a gig. WANT SHERBERT IN A TEACUP.

  7. Oh my word - I want to go and make a David Bowie clay head right now! This is excellent - thank you so much, Rose! What a brilliant idea for a shop. I am definitely going to go to one of those nights. :)

  8. Is that in St Pancras, like in the station? That would be unheard of. A nice shop that's no chain in a station... Or maybe it's because it's the 'gate' to France?

  9. PS: I mean St Pancras, not the shop, of course.

  11. Hello peops, all make the shelves and visit the cafe- it's just grand.

Hi Emily- there's definitely a few things popping up in King's Cross aren't there, it's ripe for exploring

Hi Ms True- going here after the library would be perfect- the savoury food is fine but I think their sweet stuff is probably the thing to have

Hi Jayne- me too, I wanna make a necklace especially

Hi MM- it's round the corner from the station at the beginning of Caledonian Rd- a five minute walk perhaps?
