True Grace
For a long time I didn't 'get' scented candles. I don't know why but I just didn't covet them or feel I needed them in my life. Now that's all changed and I want candles all over the house, in various scents for various moods.
The candles I want them to be are from True Grace. I have been spending far too long sniffing their wares in shops lately and so I finally looked up their website- which is delightful. You can select scents from either the Manor, the village or the walled garden; the ones I desire the most are comforting, seashore and meadow- but really I would be happy with any of them- or indeed all of them.
I love to find British companies that are stylish and that take the best things about our traditions but don't live in the past. True Grace seems to be a company like that and I feel I've taken them a little bit into my heart- and want to take them into my house.

The eucalyptus and rosemary ones are amazing. But have you tried Diptyque candles yet? They too are incredible, though not cheap.
Lovely blog by the way. Not sure how I found you but glad I did.
I love the way you find lovely websites and brands to share with us! These look fab, love the way they split the scents into 'manor' and 'village' etc. *saves to favourites*
Hi MrLondonstreet, thanks for finding me, I need to come and visit you. I don't recall the Rosemary and Eucalyptas but I do tend to smell them all at once and over power my nose!
I have tried the Diptyques- I'm a big fan of their fragrances Philosykos and L'Ombre Dans L'eau too- they are lovely as well- the Baies is sublime. There is something charming about True Grace though. Perhaps I could mix them up?
There's a lovely market off Marylebone High Street on Saturdays where they sell lovely soy candles. Just opposite the Conran Shop. Not sure who they're by but you should check those out too.
Mr LS- thanks I shall remember to look for those
I, too, was not particularly enamored of scented candles for a while...a long while...it was the combination of aromatherapy, and learning about the superior burn of soy, that first lured me in. Now that I have found good candles, like Diptyque and EO and Archipelago that I fell in.
Still :( at the price point, but they *do* last a good long time if they are well made with good materials. And some "throw" scent, even when not burning.
