Soon it will be Autumn...

... and we will need to wrap in coats. I don't know which of these colour ways I prefer- I would really like both...

Haha. Here it goes again. Chartreuse. Or the greener version of it. Not for me, though it would work perfectly with darker hair, I can imagine.
I am in love with purple since a year - and just bought a bright purple Sonia Rykiel coat. Wonderful for all those grey days that are lying in front of us.
Even little L will have to suffer from my obsession with all things purple. I saw a Baby Pepe coat in purple and am gonna be told tomorrow, if they have it in her size. Exciting times! :-)

Haha- yes I do like my green- but I have very dark brown hair- and green eyes- the Irish genes shining through!
I love purple too and your Sonia Rykiel coat sounds to die for- I love her work, she's like the French Vivienne Westwood isn't she, fabulous at any age.
Oh I envy little L, I imagine she has a great wardrobe of clothes! I hope they have the right size for her so you can both be regal in purple for the winter x

The green, the green! But then I am biased, I love green with a passion, and all 'earth' colours. I have a long Monsoon coat bought a few years ago that I absolutely adore - it is a russet tweed, very fitted - and I feel ever so stylish when I swish along the London streets in it. I think every girl needs such a coat!

Hi Jayne- I'm glad you like it, it was the green that originally took my fancy. Your Monsoon coat sounds great for dashing about town- I like a tweed coat for winter- very proper and very warm! In fact although I don't love wearing more clothes for winter generally the outer bits are some of my most preferred things to shop for- coats, gloves, scarves, love em all.

The Navy, but only because I think the green might get dirty more quickly. I have a bright blue coat from Reiss I just love love love. However the green does have a nice cheering feel about it which is always good for winter... How I manage to decide both I don't know but somehow I have!

Hi Marie- I think you are right that the navy is a lot more practical- especially in London with the tube (where does that black stuff you get on your clothes on the tube come from?), the rain (maybe snow?!) and all of those things. Plus the navy is very jolly. I think it's more fun than smart- but seeing as this is a hypothetical purchase at the moment that doesn't matter.

You know I always consider myself the girl to always go with violet, but go with the green!

Love the green one.
Love Boden.

I love the pop of the empire band against the navy. The only downside is that the coat can't be worn with dark jeans.

Hi Daily- it's a constant quest- you always need a few different styles!

Pamela- I know I am rather in love!

Chicncheap- yes what you say is true... it is perhaps better with skirts etc- but I'm not sure the primary colours are going to be that versatile. Why can't I be the type of person who is happy with plain black hey?
